How to get us your items

1.  Send us photos and a description of your  item(s) via email to or by using our online submission form. Our online form will allow you to submit up to 3 files in the following formats: GIF, JPG, PNG, BMP, PDF and DOC.   If you submit your photo's electronically, please allow up to 3 business days for us to get back to you with further information. If you have more than three pictures to send, emailing is a better option.

2. Once we let you know which items we are able to take on consignment, we will let you know the best time to bring them in. Typically, we can accept smaller items any day during store hours. If you have several items, or larger furniture items, we will work with you to schedule the best time for drop off. 

3) If you need help moving your furniture, we can provide you with the name and number of a 3rd party contract mover with whom you would work with and pay directly.

We are looking for quality furniture items antique to modern. In terms of decor, we look for higher end items and "on-trend" items (items popular in the stores and magazines right now). We take mirrors, artwork, lamps, etc. We also love fun vintage items such as vintage board games, Vintage Pyrex/Corningware & Tupperware, and other fun/unique vintage or antique items. The best way to get a feel for what we take on consignment is to come visit our store, or see our "ITEMS" page for examples.

We can't accept the following items:
China -- Clear Crystal dishware/stemware -- Silver serving sets -- Silverware -- Antique/Grandfather Clocks-- Mattresses -- Rugs -- Quilts/Blankets -- Exercise equipment -- Sporting goods -- Luggage -- TV's -- Computers -- Appliances -- Electronics.

Please email us about vintage or custom pieces in these categories as we may be able to make an exception for them.

Rethink Home Furniture And Home Decor Consignment

It is your responsibility to pick up your unsold items. If your items do not sell after the consignment term,  you may schedule a time to pick up your pieces or we will gladly donate them to a local charity of our choice, based on the useability or functionality of your item.  You may also arrange with our contracted movers to have your items delivered back to you for a nominal fee. 

Unsold Items


  • Items must be CLEAN and ready for sale; no faded, stained or torn fabric areas; no broken or chipped items.
  • Items must be free of defects, smoke or pet odor and pet hair.
  • All necessary parts must accompany your items. We reserve the right to reject any items that do not meet our standards.

Our goal at ReThink Home is to make consigning your quality used furniture, artwork and home d├ęcor items as easy as possible. 

Have something you want to consign? Read the terms below, and email pictures of your items to

  • RATE: The consignment rate is a 50/50 split of the sale price.
  • PRICING: The sale price of your item will depend on the information you have on the piece (how old, where purchased, original purchase price, etc.) We also have an idea of what similar items have sold for here in the past. Please remember, most items will not be worth what you originally paid for them, however there are exceptions, and we will do our best to price everything fairly.
  • We will keep your items on consignment for a minimum of four months. During that time, we will price the item down incrementally the longer it is here in the store. Typically, we will reduce the price by 10%, 15% and 20%. If your item is here longer than four months, it may be reduced more in price. 
  • Some items are so unique it may take longer to find a buyer. In those cases, we are happy to keep the piece more than the four month consignment period. 
  • Within approximately on month after your Item sells, you will be notified that you have a check ready for you to pick up. You may also use the sale price as store credit if preferred. If you live outside of Anchorage, or have moved out of state, we are happy to mail your check.
